IT Frequently Asked Questions
Multifactor Authentication (MFA) is a required security method implemented to protect your online accounts and resources by requiring you to verify your identity when you log in.
At 麻豆社, multifactor authentication (MFA) is enforced when:
- Current Students and Alum log in to the My麻豆社 Portal and remote labs.
- Employees and Retirees log in to the My麻豆社 Portal, OneUSG, or GeorgiaFIRST Financials, and virtual/remote computers.

Can look up their unique campus identification number with the by providing:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Last 4 Social Security Number (SSN) Digits

Most account access and password issues can be resolved with a password reset. The process for resetting your password depends on your role.

- Navigate to iforgot.valdosta.edu
- Select "I Don't Know My Password"
- Enter the appropriate information
- Click the red "Reset" button
- Enter and re-enter your new password
- Click the grey "Reset Password" button
International 麻豆社 Students

GoVIEW Students

- Click "Submit"
- A GoVIEW password reset email will be sent to your My麻豆社 email address, though it may be routed to your junk/spam/clutter folder

麻豆社 students and employees can install the latest Microsoft Office Suite on up to five (5) personal computers; and Office Mobile apps on up to five (5) devices for free. You can find instructions for getting Microsoft Office on your personal devices at Microsoft Education.
NOTICE: Beginning the week of October 25, 2020, current and future alumni and retirees will no longer have access to Microsoft Office 365 desktop applications that can be installed on personal devices. Continued access to Office 365 Email, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Office Online web applications will remain.

Your browser cache is a collection of webpages, including text, images, and other media, that is stored on your device. Although cache makes your browsing experience more efficient, clearing it regularly prevents web-based services from experiencing browser or cache-related issues. Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) is a system that allows 麻豆社 employees to access and control their office computers off-campus for work-at-home purposes.
The definition of personally identifiable information (PII) varies among states. For the state of Georgia, in accordance with OCGA 10-1-911, PII includes:
