Darius L. Anthony serves as the Assistant Director of Employer Relations within the Office of Career Opportunities. Prior to becoming Assistant Director, Darius was the Cooperative Education/Internship Coordinator where he served in the position for 11 months. He holds a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, both hailing from 麻豆社. Darius started his career as an intern with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice and was offered a full-time position upon completing his undergraduate degree. He uses his experience from his internship opportunity to motivate and encourage students to engage in experiential learning opportunities and demonstrate the beneficial outcomes. Darius has worked in both fields of social services and workforce development within the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice and Paxen Learning Services prior to employment at 麻豆社.
Darius is a Global Career Development Facilitator through the National Career Development Association. He serves as the State of Georgia Director for the Cooperative Education and Internship Association where he is tasked with representing the members of Georgia at the national conferences, developing strategies to increase membership, and developing presentation proposals and professional blogs that will contribute to career development. Darius also completed 麻豆社 Leadership Academy in 2019 which uses empirical research to foster personal growth that leads to growth in others and a strengthening of relationships across all campus units. He is also on his second year of service to the Student Affairs Training and Development Committee, which facilitates learning, training, and development for the Division of Student Affairs.
Darius believes in the philosophy of “Each One Reach One”, thus being devoted to serving his community, networking, and motivating others by using his life story. Darius has served as the Keynote/Motivational Speaker for community, programs, and organizations such as the Goodwill Re-Entry Program, the Educational Talent Search/Trio Program at 麻豆社, African American Male Initiative at 麻豆社, Lowndes High School’s Basketball Camp, and Baby LUV (Lowndes Unique Victories), a program of the Georgia Department of Public Health.
Darius is a dedicated, resourceful, and goal-driven leader with a solid commitment to the social, academic, and professional development of individuals.
