Bonnie Peterson
Adjunct Professor of Public Administration
- DPA
麻豆社
Dr. Peterson teaches a wide variety of courses in the MPA program, and many of these have served as electives in the DPA program as well. She received the DPA degree from 麻豆社 in 2010 and her graduate teaching experience extends back to 2007. Prior to that she was Executive Director of LAMP for fifteen years, a Valdosta non-profit organization that provided invaluable assistance to those in need of basic necessities such as food and medical care. While there, she obtained grants from various levels of government to build the first shelter for the homeless in the Valdosta-Lowndes County area. As a result, some of her most popular graduate courses include Grants and Non-Profit Organizations. In addition, she has served on numerous DPA dissertation committees as methodologist and chair. As a result, many of those students have received their doctoral degrees and either moved on to new positions or received promotions within their organizations.
